Yoga beyond movement

by Anita Amnzadeh

Hello. I'm Anita, a yoga teacher based in Oslo.

Yoga has been one of the greatest teachers of my life.

I stumbled into my first yoga class the same way many people do. I was looking for a new way to work out. Something that could fix and change me, for the better. But slowly and without me really noticing, I found something else that I didn’t know I was looking for. A new way of paying attention and understanding of how I move through the world. A way of noticing how I breathe, how I hold things in my body. I don't like to say that yoga “fixed” me, cause it didn’t. But yoga did help me to get to know myself better. And that is what I want to offer to you, too.

My teaching is rooted in Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin Yoga, shaped by years of exploring Ayurveda and yogic philosophy. I take the roots of yoga, the tradition it comes from, and the wisdom it carries seriously. At the same time, I want it to feel simple and acceptable. Something you can actually use in your everyday life.

In my classes and sessions, we work with movement, breath, and awareness. Not to push you further or ask more of you, but to help you slow down, pay attention, and see yourself a little more clearly.

You don't need to have any experience. You don't need to be flexible, calm, or sorted. You just need to show up, and I will meet you exactly where you are.

pranayama

Breath is the one thing we do every moment of our lives and also one of the most powerful tools we have. Pranayama is the yogic practice of working consciously with the breath. Together we explore how the way we breathe affects how we feel, think and move.

sound bath

yoga asana

Sound has a way of reaching places words cannot. In a sound bath, you simply lie down and let the vibrations of the handpan, native flute, chimes and tibetan bowls wash over you. It is a deeply restful experience , and invites the nervous system to soften and the mind to quiet, without you having to do anything at all.

Movement as a way of coming home to yourself. In my classes, we work with the body not to push it further, but to listen more closely. Whether you are new to yoga or have been practicing for years, the invitation is always the same , to notice what is already there.

nervous system regulation

guided meditation

Sometimes the body needs something more direct than movement or breath. Through simple tools like self massage and tapping, we work with the nervous system and help it find its way back to a place of ease. These are techniques you can take with you and return to whenever you need them.

Guided meditation is not about emptying the mind or achieving a particular state. It is simply an invitation to sit with yourself for a little while. Each session is gentle, accessible and grounded in the present moment.

Everything can be adapted to the setting. Whether it’s a 1:1 session, a small group, a company, or a shared space for something more.
